Gefitinib Tablet 250 mg is used in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer. It is practiced in patients in which it has spread to other parts of the body, who have abnormal epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) genes, and who have not had prior cancer treatment.
Take the Gefitinib Tablets 250 mg in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Gefitinib 250mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Gefitinib 250mg Tablet is an anti-cancer medication. Gefitinib tablets work by blocking the action of the abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply. This helps to stop or slow the spread of cancer cells.
Missed Dose
If you miss a Gefitinib tab dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is less than 12 hours before the next dose, skip the missed dose. Take your next dose at the regular time. Do not double the dose to catch up.
